The grand final of the season.
FreiBow. Messe Offenburg.
2026 season: three categories, three brackets, three True Masters. Three more follow in 2027.
The Championship does not appear out of nowhere. It is the end of a road that takes a whole year — and it starts in every arena where arrows are shot.
In the season tournament — six, twelve or more months depending on the announcement — every participant shoots between 22 and 44 scoring stations in their category: 44 each for Fun Legend and Hunter Legend (Legend 1 + Legend 2), 22 each for Hunter Dynamic, Hunter Pro, Sport Dynamic and Sport Pro. Every category is a discipline of its own — Fun Legend the entertainment edition with playful objects, Hunter Legend tournament-style 3D course situations with a spice of trick shots, Hunter Pro serious pro hunting shots only, Sport Dynamic the small moving laser dot in various types of movement, Sport Pro Olympic-oriented disciplines such as distance estimation.
Every station may be repeated as often as desired; only the best result counts towards the annual ranking. Shooting a station until it clicks pays off. The season tournament has its own trophy.
The Championship follows a different calculation. TrueMaster does not measure your best shot but your average: a station only enters the ranking once it has been completed at least seven times.
A lucky hit disappears into that average — and so does a bad round. What remains is actual skill over months. This ranking cannot be gamed with one good attempt.
The TrueMaster ranking produces the list used for invitations. Three things must come together: a certified account with full name, valid season results, and the setting “ACTIVE in Tournement” in your own profile.
Anyone unconfirmed or unable to attend is removed from the list — the next archer moves up. Only once this clean-up is complete is the seeding list finally registered.
Offenburg has one single final arena: the large ArcheryTime wall, 350–420 cm wide and 200–240 cm high, at seven metres shooting distance. The same wall, the same distance, for everyone. Seeding follows the TrueMaster ranking — the upper half faces the lower half.
Regular ArcheryTime rounds are played — both archers shoot exactly the same objects in the same order, unlike during the season. How many rounds a duel comprises depends on the field size: best of three for small fields, two levels with combined points for medium ones, one level for large ones. The mode is announced before the tournament begins.
Three metrics are used: percentage, time and points. Five arrows produce an average hit percentage, which is multiplied by ten. In the categories that are timed, the time taken is then subtracted — it deliberately remains a minor factor: accuracy decides, but the clock adds the spice to this kind of sport.
In the Hunter categories, time does not count on hits: five shots, avg. hit percentage × 10. Only a complete miss incurs a small time deduction — precisely the time taken for that shot. The only exception is Hunter Dynamic, where time is scored regularly.
A training version exists for every level of the season: fixed order, always identical flight paths, local scoring without an online highscore. This means every tournament level can be trained equally by both sides of a duel — whoever shoots second gains no advantage from watching. All scoring stations are publicly known for months; there is no hidden content.
Qualification runs through the TrueMaster ranking. Only the best reach the final.
Our regulations govern scoring, seeding and fair play — binding for everyone.
